Hi, my name is Mr Hares and I have the pleasure of being the class teacher of Dosbarth Daffodil in Year 2.
I am very pleased to have joined George Street whilst currently being a Newly Qualified Teacher. I have gained a lot of experience during my teacher training year at Bangor University and from previous employers, which have ranged from teaching and supporting in Nursery up to Year 6.
I feel that the primary phase of education is possibly the most important stage of any child’s educational journey. Although having experience working in both Key Stages, I have a real passion of working within the Foundation Phase. This is due to the children in this phase starting to explore their own learning and future development. I also feel that the concept of a school playing a central role in the community is massively important and so I ensure that I work closely with parents and families in order to facilitate a child’s full potential. My door is always open.
Apart from being the Class Teacher in Year 2, I currently run the Foundation Phase Multi-sports club where the children enjoy playing games like Football, Dodgeball and Handball.
When I am not in school, I am a keen Rugby player and play for my local club, I am also /have been involved in many other sports e.g. Cricket, Football, Basketball and Squash. However, I also spend a lot of time coaching a girl’s rugby team in my local area in order to make the game accessible for all. Apart from keeping involved within Sport, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family (especially my niece and nephew.)
