Hello! My name’s Miss Bowden, I teach Year 6, Dosbarth Castell Harlech.
I have been a teacher in George Street since 2016 and absolutely love coming into school everyday and working with my creative, enthusiastic and motivated learners.
As well as being a year 6 Class teacher I also lead Literacy in the school, a very exciting role. I also lead singing assembly which I love…stay posted for some snippets of our new songs!
I enjoy all aspects of my job and think teaching is a vocation but the thing I love most is building relationships with the children, laughing with them and watching them persevere, learn and grow.
I am very passionate about developing creativity and independence in children and preparing them as Global Citizens. I think it is vital that our children feel happy, valued, listened to and cared for when they come to school every day.
I have been a teacher for twenty years this year and before starting at George Street I worked in Cardiff, not too far from where I grew up. I have a daughter who is growing up very quickly! In my spare time I love to read, cook and eat!
Relationships with my children’s parents and families are very important to me so please feel welcome to speak to me at any time before or after school to discuss anything that might be worrying you or with any questions that you might have.
You can keep up to date with all of our learning on the class twitter page: @GSPriYear6
