Hi, its Mrs Fisher here! I have had the pleasure of working at George Street Primary School for almost 6 years. I am a HLTA and thoroughly enjoy providing education to all children across foundation phase and key stage 2. As part of my role I deliver intervention programmes to children in Literacy, Numeracy and Nurture. I am also an active member of our schools well being team.
I have an enthusiasm for promoting and reinforcing independence and self-esteem to all of our children and have established supportive relationships with both parents and children through our successful family values programme with Mrs Mollaney.
I believe that all children have a voice and it is important to listen, respect and encourage their thoughts and ideas. I am very lucky to work alongside our school council in building upon these wonderful qualities our children have. They approach everything they encounter with an air of maturity and an open mind, they collaborate effectively together and make the school and me proud of our supersonic school council!
As all staff at George Street have an open door policy, which I believe is an important aspect of parent / teacher communication - I can often be found at the year 6 doorway at the end of the school day if you ever want to chat.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters and my extended family. We love visiting the beach and going for long walks up our beautiful welsh mountains. My daughters and I love baking and jump at the chance of organising and hosting a good party!
