Hi everyone, I am Mr Taylor. I have had various roles since I started working at George Street in 2014. I first worked as a teacher in Year 3 and then made a journey to Foundation Phase to teach Year 1/2 for a year. Then I supported in year 1 for a year and most recently delivered expressive arts sessions during PPA time and taught year 6 two days a week. Currently I am supporting year 5 and 6 and providing nurture intervention in the afternoons.
I enjoy teaching literacy and have a passion for the outdoors. I was lucky enough, in summer 2016, to travel to Lindingö in Sweden to observe teaching in a Skogsmülle preschool, where all learning takes place in a forest near the school building.
George Street is a wonderful school to work in because of its fantastic pupils and staff who work together tirelessly to make sure that we all reach our full potential and have fun doing it.
In my spare time I socialise with friends and can usually be found in Prezzo or Zizzi eating my favourite pizza and pasta dishes. I often go to the theatre to watch a play or a musical and love a trip to London for the weekend.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that as a staff, we have an open door policy and are all more than happy to chat to you at the end of the day; we also hold open sessions every Friday in Foundation Phase and KS2 and it’s always lovely to see new faces.
