Miss Larcombe

Hi, my name is Miss Larcombe and I am currently lucky enough to be the teacher of Dosbarth Daffodil in Year Two alongside Mr Keir.  Teaching has always been my dream job and I am privileged to work with such interesting, unique and wonderful children.  I am passionate about working within the Foundation Phase, it is truly a joy to be a part of these children’s lives, helping them to grow and learn.  This is my second year at George Street Primary School and I feel a valued member of the team and have built strong bonds with learners and staff here.

Prior to teaching I worked in a bank and a local housing authority, however I have never been happier than when I am facilitating learning.  I enjoy watching the skills I have helped to develop and embed into our children emerge through independent work and play. I take great pride in creating a purposeful learning environment for the children in my class and enjoy thinking up new challenges for them to complete in the independent areas.

In my spare time I can usually be found playing with my two children in Pontypool Park, immersed in a good book or enjoying the beautiful beaches and landscapes we have in Wales.

My classroom is an open door, please feel free to pop by at the beginning or end of each school day for a chat or check out what we have been up to in Dosbarth Daffodil by following our twitter page @GSPriYear2.
