Hi everyone, I am Mr Taylor. I have had various roles since I started working at George Street Primary School in 2014: I have taught in both Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2; covered PPA, delivering Expressive Arts sessions; and have supported in year 6. This year I am incredibly excited to be part of the year 5 team, teaching Castell Maenorbŷr, whilst still being able to deliver Lego-based intervention sessions in the afternoons.
I lead the Health and Well-being AoLE with Mrs Williams, a role that I was very eager to take on this academic year. I truly believe that Health and Well-being is so important and underpins all other areas. I am very excited to be in a position that allows me to contribute to the development of this area of the curriculum over the next few years in our school.
Literacy is my real passion and definitely my favourite subject to teach. I love to read and enjoy being creative and experimenting with words when writing. I really hope to instil the same passion for the English language in the children that I teach this year. I already have lots of lovely activities planned for our lessons, so watch this space.
George Street is a wonderful school to work in because of its fantastic pupils and staff who work together tirelessly to make sure that we all reach our full potential and have fun doing it.
In my spare time I socialise with friends and can usually be found in a restaurant eating my favourite pizza and pasta dishes. I often go to the theatre to watch a play or a musical and love a trip to London for the weekend.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that if you ever have any questions or queries, I am always around at the end of the day, so please do not hesitate to pop in for chat.
