Mrs Cobley
My name is Mrs Cobley, I have been part of the George Street family since 2016.
I have worked in education for 26 years, ever since my daughter started Cylch Meithryn at the age of 2. I am a qualified level 5 Teaching Assistant and a Cover Supervisor in the school. When I joined George Street Primary I worked as a lunchtime supervisor as well as in Nursery and in Year 2. I then worked as a one to one to support a child with autism. For the past two years I have worked in Year 5, I was very nervous to start off with as I have always worked with Pre-school and Foundation aged children. I have to say that I really enjoy supporting children in Year 5, every day is different. My Cover Supervisor role is really lovely as I get to spend time in all year groups, getting to know children of all ages.
I am currently studying to become a Thrive practitioner in school, a role that I am really looking forward to starting after Christmas.
Out of school I spend a lot of my time with my family. As a family we breed, ride, show and judge Welsh Mountain Ponies and Cobs a passion we have had for over 34 years.
I am also currently in my last year for studying to be a Counsellor for both adults and children. Alongside training to be a Counsellor I am a qualified bereavement volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Services for adults and children. I find this work an honour to be involved with and humbled that people allow me into their lives at such a difficult time.
