Mr Eastman

My name is Mr Eastman and I teach one of the Year 5 classes at George Street Primary School. George Street was the first school that I started my career, having graduated from University of Wales Trinity Saint David Swansea with a PGCE. During this time I had experience teaching across the primary school, including both Foundation phase and Key stage 2.

I am passionate about life-long learning and I am currently in the process of completing my Masters degree, having already completed a course focussing on Pedagogy and Curriculum which was run by the EAS and University of Wales Trinity Saint David Swansea. I have found that these additional qualifications have certainly helped me in my teaching career, enabling me to plan sessions that challenge and engage all learners in the classroom.

In addition to my role as a classroom teacher, I am also Maths and Numeracy lead at George Street. This role allows me to oversee the teaching of Mathematics throughout the school, working very closely with the rest of the Maths and Numeracy team. I also have a keen interest and passion in sports and like to promote this around the school as much as possible.
