Mrs Nicholls
My name is Mrs Nicholls and I have worked at George Street as a Teaching Assistant since 2014.
I started as a volunteer in Nursery and progressed to Reception where I started my Level 3 college course, I was then employed as a 1:1 learning support assistant in Year 1 before gaining a permanent position in Year 2 so have been lucky to have experience in all aspects of Foundation Phase.
I love working at George Street. Seeing children progress and make achievements everyday big or small and knowing I had a part to play in supporting them along their way makes me feel very proud.
I love reading and have a real passion for libraries. I have loved working towards integrating our schools library in to everyday use. I love talking with children finding out what they are reading and encouraging them to share their love of books. It can be a fantastic escape not only for children but for adults alike and sharing a story with your child can be such a precious moment. Open library sessions for parents and children is something that I love to see and I am excited about other activities we could introduce to share our love of reading.
I love going to the cinema, theatre, and going out for meals with my family. I read a lot of books and also go to a boxing class which keeps me fit.
