I am so proud to be Headteacher of George Street Primary. I came to the school in January 2007 and have seen the school go from strength to strength. It has grown significantly in size in the last few years with the closures of some local schools. This has enabled us to work across a wide and varied community and I have loved meeting and getting to know all the new children who have joined George Street in recent years. I feel so lucky to lead such a fabulous group of staff who are all very capable professionals who are dedicated to the school and work so hard to ensure that we are a success. Our Governing Body is also a committed team and act as my critical friend, offering support both to myself and of course to you as parents and carers.
The children of George Street are really the stars of the show however. They are the most amazing group of young people you could ever wish to meet. They are utterly delightful and every single one of them is valued and celebrated for their individual qualities
Personally, I am so blessed to have an amazing family of my own, having a fantastic husband and two wonderful children who, although grown up now, are still my babies. I am also a dog lover and my third child is my Golden Retriever Oscar! I love relaxation, a good book and my garden in the sunshine. I love meeting people and look forward to talking to everyone who comes to our school.
Be sure to follow our school Twitter account to keep up to date with all the wonderful things that go on! Please contact me at any time if you would like to meet with me or if you have any issues you wish to raise, get in touch!
