Time has flown since I started at George Street in September 2013. My role as Senior School Support Officer is extremely varied and interesting. Together with Mrs Willis and Mrs Roden we looking after the administration of all aspects of the school. In particular, I manage the school finances, staff HR, pupil admissions and attendance, oversee the running of the office and communication with parents, and much much more! I attend a wide variety of meetings and liaise with visitors. I also work closely with Mrs Donoghue, our caretaker, to make sure that the school premises are a safe and stimulating environment for your children to live, learn and value.
The school has changed greatly since I started here; we have expanded as a staff and our pupil numbers have increased too. I feel very lucky to work at such a dynamic school with so many wonderful, talented and happy children, staff and governors. Every day brings new challenges in the office and together with Mrs Willis and Mrs Roden we are always looking at ways that we can improve how the school office is run and how we can help parents and carers. For all the parents /carers who have come in and thanked us for something and shared a smile or a laugh with us – a huge thank you – it is lovely to feel appreciated! This year we are particularly pleased with the positive feedback on how valuable parents/carers find the text messaging system (please make sure you keep your contact details up to date). Don't forget you can contact us with any issues or queries concerning school – we are here to help.
