Shwmae! My name is Miss McClymont and I teach Year 3 at George Street Primary School. I have been at George Street since September 2015 having previously taught at a school in Newport where I have gained fantastic skills and experience teaching in Reception, Year One, Year Two, Year Three and Year Five.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching and I am passionate and enthusiastic about helping children to learn, grow and develop. I aim to develop enthusiasm in the children that I teach and make their learning experience an enjoyable and meaningful one. I have a passion for hands on and practical learning experiences and I aim to include these teaching techniques within my planned lessons.
I am a very creative person and have a strong love for art and design as well as dance! Throughout my teaching career, I have been fortunate in running both an art and design after school club and a dance club where I have been able to enter my students into group dance events alongside other local schools. I currently run a ‘disco dancing’ after school club for the children across the school.
I believe strongly in an open door policy and I warmly welcome you to come to me if you have any questions or queries.
