Hi, Miss Jones here! This is my forth-exciting year of teaching in George Street Primary school, this year I will be moving from Foundation Phase to KS2. I am extremely excited to be part of a new team and embed all the foundation Phase pedagogy into KS2.
Within the school, I am part of the SLT team with a focus on Well Being and Parental Engagement. I am also an internal mentor for student teachers as well as Newly Qualified Teachers. I run the KS2 cookery club and I represent the staff as the parent/teacher member of FOGSS.
Teaching is my passion! I enjoy the diverse, holistic and creative opportunities school offers the children. I like to plan and deliver a range of engaging and inspiring lessons; in a safe and secure environment; which are fun, enjoyable and exciting to ensure learning opportunities are maximised.
I enjoy the challenges teaching provides and love watching children grow and develop in all aspects of their school life. I enjoy chatting to parents and firmly believe in an open door policy. Our open sessions are always full of fun and allow us to help parents learn how to best support their children at home.
I am a proud mother of two children, who keep me busy with their extra curriculum activities. When I have a moment of spare time I like nothing better than a coffee in Costa and a slice of carrot cake!
